How to Use Lawvia

How It Works

Lawvia is an online platform for professional legal support in Slovakia. Get access to certified lawyers through a convenient inquiry system.

Step 1: Registration and Plan Selection

  • Register on the website - provide a valid email and phone number
  • Choose a suitable plan - personal, family, or business plan
  • Pay for your subscription - secure payment through Stripe

What you get: instant access to the inquiry system and the ability to ask your first legal question.

Step 2: Ask Us a Question

How to Submit a Request? Two methods are currently available:

1. Through the inquiry form in your personal account:

  • Fill out the form describing your situation
  • Select the question category (labor law, family law, immigration, etc.)
  • Indicate priority (urgent/normal)
  • Click "Submit"

2. By email:

  • Send an email to questions@lawvia.sk from the email address you registered with
  • In the subject line, write: "Consultation on (your inquiry topic)"
  • Describe your situation in as much detail as possible
  • Attach documents if necessary (PDF, JPG, PNG)

What Happens Next

  1. Your inquiry is received and registered
  2. A specialist reviews the question - checks documents and prepares a response
  3. You receive a response by email - within 2-4 business days (depending on your plan)
  4. You can ask follow-up questions - within the same inquiry

The number of inquiries depends on your plan.

Step 3: Tracking Your Inquiries

Current Process

  • Email notifications - you'll receive confirmation of inquiry receipt
  • Inquiry status - track through email correspondence
  • Communication history - all responses are saved in your email

Coming soon: Personal account with full inquiry history, real-time statuses, ability to upload additional documents, and ask additional questions in one place.

Step 4: Personal Consultations (for Premium Plans)

If your plan includes personal consultations:

  • Indicate in your inquiry that you want a personal consultation
  • A coordinator will contact you to arrange the time and format
  • Conduct the consultation by phone, video call (Zoom, Google Meet), or in person at our office

Available formats:

  • Phone consultation (30 minutes)
  • Video consultation (30 minutes)
  • In-person meeting at the office (by arrangement)

Step 5: Subscription Management

Changing Your Plan

To change your plan, send a request to questions@lawvia.sk:

  • Plan upgrade - activated within 1 business day
  • Plan downgrade - takes effect from the next billing period
  • Subscription cancellation - no penalties, access preserved until the end of the paid period

Coming soon: Self-service subscription management through personal account, instant plan changes, adding family members, and team management for business clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly do we respond?

From 2 to 4 business days depending on the plan. Premium plans are processed with priority.

Can I ask a follow-up question?

Yes, clarifying questions within one inquiry are free. A new topic requires a new inquiry.

What if I run out of inquiries?

Contact us to upgrade your plan or purchase additional inquiries.

How do I attach documents?

When sending an email inquiry, attach files to your message. Maximum attachment size is 20 MB.
